Let's Look It Up!

God doesn't need your favors. He desires your joyful obedience.

Life isn't about what you know. Life is about Who you know (Jn 14:9-21)

Don't be surprised when attacks come - if you're living for Christ they'll come constantly (Rom. 7:21). It means you're doing it right.

How can I remember Paul's shipwreck with 276 people or that 153 fish were caught (Jn 21) but forget my own phone number?

Note to self: You're better off dealing with "an angry bear than a fool" (Prov. 17:12). Wisdom says to let certain calls go to voice mail.

Never underestimate the power of a holy example (1 Pet. 5:3)

Want to be more like God? Whistle. (Isaiah 5:26, 7:18)

Details matter. "Take up your cross DAILY and follow me" (Lk 9:23). St. Luke is the only writer who adds "daily." Love is in the details.

The Commandments are a gift not a curse. Sin is less about breaking the rules and more about breaking the Father's heart.

True love doesn't have limits...people do. Never forget 1 Cor 13:7-8.

Meek does not mean weak. Meekness requires true strength (Matt 5:5). True power is robed in humility.

God said the people in Nineveh didn't know their right from their left (Jonah 4:11). The guy who cut me off in traffic - may be a Ninevite.

Note to self: Shut up - God is speaking.

Praying Luke 5:18-20...it's the Bible's first "ceiling fan."

We can accomplish more in one minute with the Holy Spirit than we can in a lifetime without Him.

When's the last time you really thanked God for the gift of baptism? (Rom. 8:15)

It's sad that the least safe place in the USA to be today is still a mother's womb - pray for awakened and changed hearts!

Jesus doesn't need us - that's the bad news. Jesus does, however, WANT us...that's the great news. (Mark 3:13)

"A person's a person, no matter how small." - Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss)

Father, You are the Potter...I am the Play-Doh (Is. 64:8). Let's make a masterpiece.

“Humility is the only virtue the devil cannot imitate.” – St. John Climacus

Heaven is our home. Salvation is our goal. Never forget - 1 Pet 1:9.
